Consensus

Validators, also referred to as Block Producers, participate in the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus by running validator nodes. Anyone staking tokens is able to vote for the Validators who take turns producing blocks on the QRY Network. They are responsible for maintaining the network by participating in critical activities such as oracle operations, Proof of Availability (PoA), network connectivity, and others. By ensuring the health and integrity of the blockchain, validators play a pivotal role in the QRY Ecosystem.

Challengers

Active and high-ranked standby Validators can opt-in and bond tokens to register as challengers in the * Proof of Availability (PoA)* mechanism, receiving a Challenger Pay for emitting challenges that Providers must solve, proving that said Providers are active and serving the queries on the QRY network.
